Job summary

Ondrick Materials Group seeks a hands-on Foreman to lead daily maintenance and repair activities in the shop, supporting floor mechanics on active jobs and ensuring timely, safe completions. The role requires strong diagnostics across heavy equipment and preferred experience with yellow-iron gear.

In the absence of a Maintenance Manager, the Foreman coordinates workflows, prioritizes jobs, and enforces safety procedures while maintaining documentation and planning next-day work.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of heavy diesel mechanic experience with diagnostics across engines, hydraulics, electrical, and drivelines.
• 2+ years in a lead/foreman capacity (assigning work, coaching techs, closing work orders).
• Proficiency with scantools, service literature, schematics, and CMMS/work-order systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings, torque specs, and apply OEM repair procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform and direct heavy diesel diagnostics, repairs, and rebuilds (engines, transmissions, hydraulics, etc).
• Support floor mechanics on active jobs: triage, troubleshooting, test procedures, and repair strategy.
• Assist with maintenance of yellow-iron equipment, trucks, trailers, and support equipment.
• Verify repair quality with road-test/functional tests and document accuracy.
