Job summary

Waukesha-Pearce Industries is seeking a Service Technician - Class B to perform a range of maintenance, repair, and service activities on heavy equipment with minimal guidance. The role emphasizes diagnostics, mechanical repairs, and safe, efficient workmanship in a shop environment.

Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years in construction/mining machinery, a high school diploma, and strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and engine systems.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; trade school preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in construction/mining machinery.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance checks and adjustments on fluids, hoses, belts, brakes, tires, and clutches.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and diagnose repairs on heavy equipment.
• Service and maintain drive axles, suspensions, and transmissions.
• Tune gas and diesel engines; service fuel systems and injectors.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble units for cooling, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Repair track drive components and hydraulic systems; ensure safe completion of jobs.
• Keep workspace clean and follow training and safety guidelines.
