Job summary

Qualified candidates will have at least a high school diploma or equivalent, a trade school background preferred, and a minimum of three years’ industry experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; accredited trade school preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction/mining machinery.
• Ability to read manuals and schematics, rebuild engines and major driveline components.
• Must pass drug and alcohol testing as per policy.
• Must have a current driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses, services and repairs systems on heavy equipment (mechanical and electronic controls, transmissions, hydraulics).
• Troubleshoots malfunctions and performs repairs.
• Repairs track drive sprockets, hydraulics, final drives, and turbo systems.
• Tunes diesel engines, checks fuel systems, and reads gauges/test equipment.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of tools and work area.
• May assist in training lower‑level workers.
