Job summary

Cisco Equipment seeks a Heavy Equipment Service Supervisor to oversee daily shop operations at a construction equipment dealership. You will lead shop technicians, assign repairs, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company and manufacturer standards.

The supervisor coordinates with the Service Manager, Service Advisors, Parts, Warranty, Sales, and Rental to maintain workflow, communicate repair progress, and deliver equipment on schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; diesel or heavy equipment technical education preferred.
• Five or more years of heavy equipment repair experience required or preferred.
• Previous experience as a lead technician, shop foreman, or supervisor preferred.
• Strong diagnostic knowledge of construction equipment and related systems.
• Ability to lead employees, manage competing priorities, and communicate clearly.
• Proficiency with computerized work orders, manufacturer diagnostic software, and basic Microsoft Office applications.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead technicians by assigning work based on skill, priority, and resources.
• Set clear performance expectations for workmanship, productivity, attendance, and accountability.
• Provide technical guidance on engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, powertrains, and diagnostics.
• Coach technicians and monitor training progress; assist with evaluations.
• Review daily workload and establish repair priorities and completion targets.
• Coordinate repairs, warranty work, preventive maintenance, and rental make-ready activities.
• Communicate repair status and required work to Service Advisors and the Service Manager.
• Maintain an organized shop with proper tools, supplies, and equipment.
• Ensure repairs follow manufacturer procedures and approved estimates.
• Verify accurate labor, diagnostics, parts, and repair documentation.
• Ensure final checks and make-ready documentation are complete.
