Job summary

IRON YELLOW LLC in Converse, TX is seeking a Heavy Equipment Service Supervisor to oversee daily shop operations at a construction equipment dealership. You will lead shop technicians, assign repairs, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to manufacturer standards.

You will coordinate with the Service Manager, Service Advisors, Parts, Warranty, Sales, and Rental departments to maintain workflow, communicate repair progress, and deliver equipment on schedule.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of heavy equipment repair experience preferred.
• Experience as lead technician, shop foreman, or supervisor preferred.
• Strong diagnostic knowledge of construction equipment and related systems.
• Ability to lead employees, manage competing priorities, and communicate clearly.
• Proficiency with computerized work orders, diagnostic software, and basic Microsoft Office applications.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead technicians and assign work based on priority and resources.
• Establish repair priorities and targets; monitor progress.
• Ensure repairs follow manufacturer procedures and document labor, parts, and diagnostics.
• Review completed work and ensure necessary checks before equipment release.
• Enforce safety procedures and conduct toolbox safety meetings.
• Coordinate customer repairs, warranty work, and preventive maintenance; maintain shop/workflow balance.
