Job summary

Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. in Texas seeks a Rental Coordinator to handle rental calls and coordinate equipment rentals per guidelines. You will generate contracts, bill charges, arrange deliveries, and work with the service team to prepare gear for rental.

The role requires 2 years of heavy equipment experience, strong MS Office skills, and solid communication. This is a safety-sensitive position with competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Two (2) years of heavy construction equipment experience or comparable experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and various web-based applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicates and supports the Kirby Smith vision and core values of One Mission, One Team, One Plan, One Goal
• Answers telephone and in-person requests for equipment rentals using high-level customer service skills
• Initiates rental contracts and completes all associated paperwork appropriately and in a timely manner, ensuring that all appropriate charges are billed to the customer according to company policies and procedures
• Schedules equipment deliveries, training, and the pickup of rental equipment through company drivers or outside contract transport services
• Ensures equipment is properly serviced and prepared for rental by effectively working with the Service department
• Monitors repairs and ensures all paperwork is complete, accurate, and timely
• Monitors and tracks rental equipment inventory
• Prepares reports as needed
• Makes suggestions or recommendations to the Sr. Rental Coordinator; brings observed problems or issues to the attention of the Sr. Rental Coordinator and presents suggestions and solutions to resolve the problem, if possible
• Ensures consistent and reliable on-site attendance
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
