Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. seeks a Rental Coordinator to manage rental calls and coordinate equipment rentals per company guidelines. You will handle contracts, scheduling, and on-site delivery coordination with drivers and transport services.

This role emphasizes strong communication, organizational skills, and proactive problem-solving, in a safety-conscious workplace serving customers across the central United States.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Two years of heavy construction equipment experience or comparable experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and various web-based applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicates and supports the Kirby Smith vision and core values of One Mission, One Team, One Plan, One Goal.
• Answers telephone and in-person requests for equipment rentals using high-level customer service skills.
• Initiates rental contracts and completes all associated paperwork appropriately and in a timely manner, ensuring that all appropriate charges are billed to the customer according to company policies and procedures.
• Schedules equipment deliveries, training, and the pickup of rental equipment through company drivers or outside contract transport services.
• Ensures equipment is properly serviced and prepared for rental by effectively working with the Service department.
• Monitors repairs and ensures all paperwork is complete, accurate, and timely.
• Monitors and tracks rental equipment inventory.
• Prepares reports as needed.
• Makes suggestions or recommendations to the Sr. Rental Coordinator; brings observed problems or issues to the attention of the Sr. Rental Coordinator and presents suggestions and solutions to resolve the problem, if possible.
• Ensures consistent and reliable on-site attendance.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
