Job summary

Blaze Equipment is seeking a Purchasing and Planning Manager to oversee procurement and inventory planning for drill rig components and engineered assemblies. You will manage orders with suppliers, maintain demand plans, and optimize landed costs to support operations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of purchasing, materials, or supply chain experience
• 3+ years owning a planning or replenishment function
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or related field preferred
• CPIM, CSCP, or CPSM certification a plus
• Familiarity with foundation drilling equipment and tooling strongly preferred
• ERP proficiency across purchasing, inventory, and planning modules; advanced Excel skills
• Strong negotiation, organizational, and communication skills; ability to influence suppliers and internal partners

Responsibilities

• Place and manage purchase orders with HPM for drill rig components and engineered assemblies
• Verify part numbers, serial applicability, and configuration against rig build sheets
• Track orders through ocean transit, customs clearance, and receipt
• Recommend stocking levels for long-lead components based on history and forecast
• Manage replenishment of tooling and consumables; establish min/max levels and safety stock
• Partner with cross-functional teams on refurbish-vs-replace decisions and tooling readiness
• Build and maintain a rolling 12-18 month demand plan by product line
• Reconcile demand with supplier lead times and capacity; surface gaps with options
• Report forecast accuracy, fill rate, and on-time delivery; drive corrective actions
• Own inventory targets and turns; manage aging, excess, and obsolete stock
• Maintain item master accuracy; ensure correct part numbers and descriptions
• Coordinate landed cost, import practices, and currency exposure
