Job summary

Arcosa Aggregates Texas LLC is seeking a Heavy Equipment PM Tech at our Smithville, Texas plant. The role supports safety, maintains heavy equipment, and ensures productive operations in a regulated environment.

You will work with a team to keep machinery in good operating condition for natural aggregates production. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, routine inspections, and strong communication with coworkers.

Qualifications

• Welding knowledge is required.
• Ability to read schematics and manuals to understand equipment.
• Stand, stoop, bend, and lift up to 60 lbs as needed.
• Work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dusty, etc.).
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventive maintenance on heavy equipment.
• Monitor and assist in routine maintenance to ensure efficient and safe production.
• Perform daily pre-shift equipment and workplace inspections.
• Maintain strong communications with plant employees and operators.
• Promote safety awareness and continuous improvement.

Job description

Arcosa Aggregates is seeking a Heavy Equip PM Tech based out of our Smithville, Texas plant. In this role you will support positive safety culture in an aggregate environment that is regulated by MSHA safety standards. As a Heavy Equipment PM Tech, you will work with a team to maintain the heavy equipment in good operating condition to produce natural aggregates in a mining environment.

Day to Day

• Actively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognition
• Assist with preventive maintenance on heavy equipment keeping machinery running in good condition
• Monitor and assist in routine maintenance to ensure efficient and safe production.
• Basic understanding of mechanical principles and the ability to use hand tools.
• Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations.
• Perform daily pre-shift on equipment and workplace inspections
• Maintain strong communications with other plant employees and operators

• Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned

About You

• Welding knowledge
• Ability to read schematics and manuals to understand the technical aspects of equipment
• The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required.
• The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
• High school diploma or GED equivalent

Working Condition

While most equipment has air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty. Ability to lift 60lbs.
