Trademark Metals Recycling is seeking skilled Heavy Equipment Operators to move scrap iron, load trucks and railcars, and keep the yard running at full speed. This role is backed by Nucor, with production bonuses and benefits starting in 30 days.

You will operate cranes, loaders, and other heavy machinery while maintaining safety and efficiency on a busy yard. Average earnings are around $77,000+ per year, including base pay, overtime, and bonuses.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of heavy equipment operation experience—preferably in scrap metal, construction, or manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with cranes, loaders, or similar heavy machinery.
• Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operating principles, hazards, and safety precautions.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment including cranes, loaders, and similar machines — safely and efficiently.
• Load scrap material onto shredder feed conveyors, push shred piles, move material throughout the yard, and load trucks and railcars.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report defects or needed repairs.
• Keep the yard clear of debris and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Jump on small equipment — forklifts or skid steers — when needed.
• Handle general labor duties including sweeping, shoveling, and cleanup.
• Communicate over radio with teammates for traffic coordination and production updates.
• Cross-train in other positions and support teammates wherever you’re needed.
