Trademark Metals Recycling - A Nucor Company in Orlando, FL is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to move scrap iron, load trucks and railcars, and keep the yard running at full speed. You will operate cranes, loaders, and related machinery while upholding strict safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of heavy equipment operation experience in scrap metal, construction, or manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with cranes, loaders, or similar heavy machinery.
• Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operating principles, hazards, and safety precautions.
• Mechanically inclined with ability to spot issues and keep equipment running.
• Dependable and able to work independently and on varying priorities.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety procedures and attend safety meetings.
• Operate heavy equipment including cranes and loaders safely and efficiently.
• Load scrap material onto shredder feed conveyors, push shred piles, and move material around the yard.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report defects or needed repairs.
• Keep the yard clean and safe; assist with general labor as needed.
• Communicate with teammates over radio for traffic coordination and updates.
• Cross-train in other positions to support team needs.
