Job summary

Strittmatter Companies in Manassas Park, VA seeks an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to safely operate dozers, excavators and loaders on construction projects. You will follow safety policies and work with on-site management to move and load materials, monitor equipment, and keep gear secured when not in use.

Applicants should have at least 3 years of operating machinery, strong attention to detail, teamwork and the ability to work in all weather conditions; a drug screen and background

Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of operating machinery/equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and safety.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Willingness to work in all weather conditions.
• Must successfully complete drug screening and background check.
• Must have OSHA 10.
• May be required to lift, Carry, or push/pull supplies weighing 50lbs or more.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to company safety policies including taking specific action to avoid other workers, other equipment, potential obstructions and marked or unmarked utility lines.
• Operate equipment in an efficient manner and follow instructions of on-site management.
• Follow all equipment monitoring and maintenance requirements.
• Move and/or load material utilizing dozers, excavators, loaders, etc.
• Ensure Equipment is safely stored and secured when not in use.

The Heavy Equipment operator will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating one or more types of large construction equipment such as Dozers, Excavators, and Loaders.
