Job summary

Strittmatter Metro LLC is looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator in the Washington, DC area. The ideal candidate has 3+ years operating Dozers, Excavators and Loaders in construction or similar settings and must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities include safely operating equipment per on-site management, adhering to safety policies, performing routine maintenance, and loading/moving materials. DC residency is required for consideration.

Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of operating machinery/equipment.
• Must successfully complete drug screening and background check.
• May be required to lift 50 lbs or more.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety policies and avoid hazards and obstructions.
• Operate dozers, excavators, loaders and other equipment as directed.
• Follow equipment monitoring and maintenance requirements.
• Move and load materials safely and efficiently.
• Ensure equipment is stored securely when not in use.

Job description

Strittmatter Metro LLC is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience operating machinery and equipment in a construction or similar environment. The Heavy Equipment operator will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating one or more types of large construction equipment such as Dozers, Excavators, and Loaders. ONLY DC RESIDENTS WILL BE CONSIDERED.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Adhere to company safety policies including taking specific action to avoid other workers, other equipment, potential obstructions and marked or unmarked utility lines.
• Operate equipment in an efficient manner and follow instructions of on-site management.
• Follow all equipment monitoring and maintenance requirements.
• Move and/or load material utilizing dozers, excavators, loaders, etc.
• Ensure Equipment is safely stored and secured when not in use.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Highschool Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of operating machinery/equipment
• Strong attention to detail and safety
• Excellent communication and teamwork
• Willingness to work in all weather conditions
• Must successfully complete drug screening and background check
• May be required to lift, Carry, or push/pull supplies, materials equipment and/or items weighing 50lbs or more.

PAY:

up to $35.00hr, Overtime availability
