Job summary

JKL Associates Inc., a division of PUSH Inc., seeks a Heavy Equipment Operator to safely operate equipment for installing fiber, copper, coaxial cables and power lines, with possible sewer or water work. The role requires field digging experience around utilities and the ability to mentor other team members.

Candidates must have a valid driver's license, pass pre-employment screenings, and be willing to travel and work outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

• Work Experience: field experience with digging operations around utilities in rural and urban areas; experience operating utility construction equipment including backhoe, mini excavator, cable plow or track hoe.
• Industry Knowledge: general knowledge of utility construction procedures, including print reading and familiarity with tools and equipment to install underground utilities safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment including backhoe, mini excavator, cable plow or track hoe.
• Dig around utilities in rural and urban areas.
• Provide training to co-workers learning to operate equipment.
• Perform routine labor and set-up of equipment for conduit/duct/cable placement.
• Drive tow vehicle hauling equipment to job site.
• Assist with all aspects of the job including basic labor responsibilities.
