Job summary

JKL Associates Inc., a Division of PUSH Inc., seeks a Heavy Equipment Operator to safely operate equipment for fiber, copper, and power cables, including possible sewer or water work. Field digging experience near utilities is essential, along with the ability to train others.

Applicants should have experience reading prints/schematics, hold a valid license, and be able to work in a team, learn quickly, and maintain equipment. This role is field-based with outdoor duties.

Qualifications

• Field experience with digging operations around utilities in rural and urban areas.
• Experience operating utility construction equipment (backhoe, mini excavator, cable plow, track hoe).
• Knowledge of reading prints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Field experience with digging operations in rural and urban areas around utilities.
• Operate backhoe, mini excavator, cable plow, or track hoe.
• Provide training and assistance to coworkers learning to be operators.
• Perform routine labor such as potholing, equipment setup, and conduit/duct placement.
• Drive tow vehicle hauling equipment to and around job site.
• Assist with all aspects of the job, including basic labor duties.
