Job summary

Asplundh is seeking an Equipment Operator (Driver License Required) to remove branches and vegetation from electrical lines across multiple states. The role requires operating heavy equipment, transporting gear, and performing site prep and cleanup with emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications include being 18+, identifying plant species, and a valid driver’s license with CDL preferred. Benefits include competitive wages and comprehensive health, retirement, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Familiar with electrical hazards.
• Possesses working knowledge and be able to identify tree and shrub species.

Responsibilities

• Operates heavy equipment such as Bulldozers, backhoes, skid steers, excavators, loaders, dump trucks, mowers and stump grinders.
• Transport equipment to and from multi-state job locations.
• Install and remove gates, fences, barb wire; culverts, rocks and base.
• Works on rock and base by highways and on right-of-way.
• Uses a chainsaw to cut brush, logs and stumps of larger trees.
• Gathers brush and feeds brush into wood chipper.
• Maintains trucks and equipment in clean, good order; assist senior spray person with herbicide mixing.
• Works around hazardous equipment and in varying weather conditions.
