Job summary

Distinctive Tree Care LLC is seeking an Equipment Operator to run heavy equipment for tree removal, stump grinding, and land clearing. You will operate excavators, skid steers, cranes, and loaders while prioritizing safety and efficiency on varied job sites.

The role requires at least 2 years of equipment experience, a solid mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read job site plans. CDL is preferred but not required, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience operating heavy equipment.
• Experience in tree service, forestry, or land clearing preferred.
• Ability to read and understand job site plans.
• Strong mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting minor issues.
• Physical ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• CDL preferred but not required; valid license is necessary.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators, skid steers, cranes, and loaders to support tree removal and land clearing.
• Safely maneuver machinery in tight/ challenging environments with minimal disruption.
• Assist crews with lifting, hauling, and positioning heavy logs and debris.
• Perform pre-operation inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Follow safety regulations and environmental guidelines at all times.
• Coordinate with ground crews and foremen to execute plans efficiently.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and basic equipment repairs.
