Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC in Hickory, NC is seeking an Equipment Operator to safely operate heavy equipment used to remove branches and tree material from electrical lines. You will transport equipment between job sites and help install gates, fences and culverts as needed.

The role requires awareness of electrical hazards, ability to work in various weather conditions, and a valid driver license; CDL is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Able to identify tree and shrub species.
• Familiar with electrical hazards.

Responsibilities

• Operates heavy equipment including bulldozers, backhoes, skid steers, excavator, loaders, dump trucks, mowers, and stump grinders.
• Transports equipment to and from multi-state job locations.
• Installs and removes gates, fences and culverts.
• Cuts brush and stumps with a chainsaw; feeds brush into wood chipper.
• Maintains and services trucks and equipment; keeps them clean and in order.
