Job summary

City of East Point is seeking a qualified Equipment Operator to perform sanitation equipment operation and city road maintenance. The role reports to the Waterline & Sewer line Foreman and may supervise a crew in the foreman’s absence.

Requirements include five years of equipment operating experience, a valid Georgia CDL Class A license, and the ability to obtain Level 1A Soil & Erosion Control Certification within 12 months. Knowledge of safety procedures and city policies is essential.

Responsibilities

• Operates heavy equipment for city road and drainage maintenance and repair.
• Supervises crew in foreman's absence.
• Performs daily inspections and documents equipment needs.
• Maintains and checks trucks, trailers, and power tools.
• Cleans gutters, catch basins, and related facilities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
