Job summary

Harsco Environmental seeks an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to perform day-to-day operations at a steel/metal recovery plant. The role includes pre-start inspections and safe operation of heavy equipment in outdoor conditions.

You will follow plant safety guidelines, work in a team, read operating instructions, and contribute to efficient plant performance while maintaining high safety standards during outdoor labor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 - 3 years’ experience as an equipment operator.
• Ability to perform manual outdoor labor in varying weather and elevations.
• Good communication skills and ability to read operating instructions.
• Proactive in SAFETY and able to work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mobile equipment pre-start inspections and record activity on inspection sheets.
• Follow all plant safety guidelines for the safe operation of heavy mobile equipment.
