Job summary

Harsco Corporation's Environmental division in Mount Vernon, AL, is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator-Excavator to operate off-road heavy equipment in a steel mill environment. Equipment may include Material Handler, Loader, Water Truck, and E-Crane; crushing and screening may also be required.

Duties include pre-start and post inspections, required activity reports, and strict adherence to safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years experience as heavy equipment operator.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and terrain.

Responsibilities

• Perform and record routine pre-start inspections of mobile equipment.
• Perform post-inspections and complete required activity reports.
• Adhere to all company and customer safety policies and rules.
• Maintain a high level of safety and follow safe work practices.
• Work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly.
