SA Recycling LLC in Pompano Beach, FL is seeking a dependable Equipment Operator to handle heavy equipment for loading and unloading scrap metal and other materials in our outdoor yard. You will ensure safe, efficient operations and help transport loads to processing areas.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, up to one year of experience with hydraulic cranes and wheeled bucket loaders, and the ability to follow written or spoken instructions. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience operating hydraulic cranes and wheel loaders preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Ability to follow written or oral instructions.
• Willingness to learn new tasks and adapt to outdoor work.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment to load/unload scrap metal for processing.
• Determine load weights and prevent overloads and hazards.
• Identify, grade, and sort inbound scrap and reject unacceptable items.
• Drain and remove fluids from autos, appliances, and equipment.
• Direct truck drivers for loading/unloading scrap materials.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report issues to supervisor.
• Follow SA Recycling safety, health, and environmental policies.
