Job summary

Coastal Waste & Recycling in Florida is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to safely operate loaders, excavators, skid steers, forklifts, and related gear at our transfer stations and facilities.

You will perform pre-shift inspections, maintain equipment, and coordinate with teammates to keep operations efficient while following OSHA and environmental standards. Waste-recycling experience and bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• One year or more of experience operating heavy equipment in industrial environments.
• Experience with loaders, excavators, skid steers, and forklifts is preferred.
• Strong understanding of equipment safety, inspections, and preventive maintenance.
• Commitment to safety, teamwork, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate loaders, excavators, skid steers, forklifts and related equipment.
• Move, load, transport, and organize waste and recyclables efficiently.
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Coordinate with teammates to ensure safe equipment movement and site safety.
• Maintain inspection reports and uphold OSHA and environmental standards.
