Coastal Waste & Recycling Inc. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator in Florida to safely move waste and recyclables across transfer stations, recycling facilities, and landfills using loaders, excavators, skid steers, forklifts, and related gear.

Qualifications

• One year or more of experience operating heavy equipment.
• Experience in waste, recycling, construction, mining, or related industries preferred.
• Strong safety mindset and ability to perform pre-shift inspections.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy equipment (loaders, excavators, skid steers, forklifts, material handlers, compactors).
• Move, load, transport, and organize waste and recyclables while maximizing efficiency.
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections and communicate maintenance needs.
• Identify equipment concerns and prompt maintenance requests.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance and routine equipment care.
• Follow site procedures and traffic patterns.
• Coordinate equipment movement with teammates and supervision.
• Maintain equipment inspection reports and clean work areas.
• Support general site operations as needed.
• Uphold OSHA and environmental standards.
