Job summary

Coastal Waste & Recycling is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator in Naples, FL to safely operate loaders, excavators, skid steers, forklifts, and other heavy gear at transfer stations, recycling facilities, and landfills. You will perform inspections, maximize productivity, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year of heavy equipment experience and a strong safety mindset; bilingual English/Spanish or English/Creole is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience operating heavy equipment in industrial settings.
• Experience with loaders, excavators, skid steers, or forklifts.
• Strong safety mindset and ability to perform equipment inspections.
• Ability to work with teammates in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, skid steers, forklifts, and related machinery.
• Move, load, and transport waste and recyclables while maintaining efficiency.
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Coordinate with spotters and supervisors to ensure safe operations.
