Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures and uphold OSHA guidelines.
• Monitor, clean and inspect plant production equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Operate mobile equipment including forklift, skid loader, or mobile shear.
• Perform daily prechecks and ensure safety devices are in place prior to startup.
• Assist other workers as needed.
• Cleanup, daily maintenance, and other duties as assigned.

Basic Job Functions

• Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
• Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures.
