Qualifications

• Experience operating front-end loaders, excavators or scrap handlers in an outdoor environment.
• 2 years knowledge of heavy-equipment operating principles.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions and meet attendance schedules.
• Willingness to work 2nd shift, with overtime and Saturdays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate cranes and heavy equipment to unload scrap material and feed the crane.
• Move material throughout the yard and load trucks.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report defects or needed repairs.
• Maintain safety standards and keep grounds clear of debris.
• Coordinate with teammates via radio for traffic coordination, production, and safety procedures.
• Willing to cross-train in other positions as needed.
