Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of heavy equipment experience.
• CDL A or B is a plus; clean driving record.
• Ability to read and interpret project plans and grade stakes.
• Strong hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
• Able to work independently and in teams in various weather.
• Lift up to 50 pounds; perform physical construction tasks.
• Pre-employment drug screen and background check completed.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, and trenchers safely.
• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections and daily maintenance checks.
• Dig trenches, excavate foundations, grade land per plans.
• Adhere to OSHA and company safety policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew on site.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and equipment.
• Identify and report equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs.
• Assist with manual labor tasks when not operating equipment.
• Follow precise grade and staking instructions; use PPE properly.
