Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of heavy equipment experience.
• CDL A or B is a plus; clean driving record.
• Ability to read and interpret project plans and grade stakes.
• Strong hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
• Able to work independently and in teams in various weather.
• Lift up to 50 pounds; perform physical construction tasks.
• Pre-employment drug screen and background check completed.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, and trenchers safely.

This role requires adherence to all safety protocols and project specifications. Job Responsibilities \* Operate a variety of heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, and trenchers in a safe and efficient manner. \* Perform pre-operation and post-operation inspections of equipment and complete daily maintenance checks. \* Dig trenches, excavate foundations, grade land, and move materials according to project plans and supervisor instructions. \* Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and relevant regulations (OSHA, etc.). \* Communicate effectively with supervisors, crew members, and other personnel on site. \* Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment. \* Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs. \* Assist with manual labor tasks when equipment operation is not required. \* Follow precise grade and staking instructions. \* Ensure proper use and care of personal protective equipment (PPE).
