Primoris Energy Services is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to safely operate multiple types of heavy construction equipment on various projects. You will perform earthmoving tasks, read blueprints, and ensure equipment readiness through inspections while adhering to safety regulations.

Candidates should have experience operating heavy equipment, a valid driver's license, the ability to read manuals and plans, and a willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating multiple types of heavy construction equipment.
• Ability to read safety instructions, operating manuals, and project plans.
• Physical ability to perform demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
• Mechanical aptitude for basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment (excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, compactors) safely and productively.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections and report defects.
• Follow safety policies and government regulations (OSHA, MSHA).
• Perform earthmoving, grading, trenching, digging, and related tasks as directed.
• Read blueprints and construction documents to ensure accurate work.
• Assist with loading/unloading materials and maintain a clean work area.
• Communicate with crew, supervisors, and site personnel.
• Perform manual labor as needed and participate in safety trainings.
