Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator - Richmond

Department: Grading

Reports to: Project Superintendent / Project Foreman

Major Role and Purpose

Operate Heavy Industrial Equipment such as Dozers, Excavators, Backhoes, or other grading or excavating equipment to move and level materials like dirt and gravel.

Description of Duties

• Monitor site activity.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Perform duties as necessary or assigned.
• Operate Heavy Industrial Equipment.
• Spread dirt in fill areas.
• Clear and grub work areas.
• Manage fill areas and read slope stakes.
• Cut slopes to specifications.
• Direct trucks for dumping loads.
• Dress and clean up the site upon completion.
• Maintain and service equipment, and make operational adjustments.
• Operate equipment safely and consistently.
• Willing to work nights and weekends.

Education

• High School Diploma Preferred

Preferred Experience

• 3-5 Years Operating Heavy Equipment
• Valid Driver's License
• Knowledge of GPS grade control and grades
