Join to apply for the Heavy Equipment Operator role at D.H. Griffin Companies.

Our Richmond, VA office is accepting applications for Heavy Equipment Operators to work on demolition projects across Residential, Commercial, and Industrial sectors.

The ideal candidate must be able to operate and maintain heavy equipment, typically 200 series excavators and above, fitted with hydraulic shears, grapples, bucket/thumb, universal processors, etc., to demolish structures, sort material, and load debris. Candidates must also be able to lift at least 50 pounds, perform manual labor tasks, use small tools, and follow site supervisor instructions.

Responsibilities and Requirements

• Prior demolition experience is required.
• Safety is our highest priority; all employees will receive safety orientation, site-specific training, and have the opportunity to earn OSHA 10 certification.
• Reliable transportation and regular travel are required. Out-of-town workers will be provided with hotel and per diem.
• All candidates must pass a background check and drug screening, and be medically capable of wearing a half-faced respirator.
