Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator - Grading Division

Required Equipment Operation Skills:

Must operate efficiently:

• Dozers, Excavators, Loaders, Backhoes, and Bobcats
• Experience with Motor Graders is a plus!

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy equipment to spread, cut, and level dirt, gravel, and stone according to job specifications. Must be willing and able to work in a team environment.

Major Tasks & Responsibilities:

1. Fine grade to specifications in construction and maintenance of earthwork structures such as highways, streets, temporary roads, and site developments.
2. Operate equipment at required production pace while observing reference stakes or hand signals from assisting workers.
3. Level surfaces to specified grades, observing grade stakes or markings to ensure work meets specifications.
4. Safely operate machines, perform minor maintenance, and upkeep of equipment.
5. Assist in placement, movement, and dismantling of signs, barricades, cones, and other traffic control devices.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. 5+ years' experience in operating heavy equipment, specifically for FINE GRADING
2. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
3. Requires extensive physical ability
4. Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions

Work Schedule:

Must be able to work Monday through Saturday.
