Job Summary

As a Backhoe Operator, you will be a key member of our pipe crew, responsible for operating and maintaining a backhoe to support the installation of water, sewer, and drainage systems. Your expertise will ensure safe and precise excavation for underground utility projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain a backhoe with precision, following project plans and specifications.
  • Safety: Strictly adhere to safety procedures and guidelines, ensuring a safe work environment and compliance with regulations.
  • Trenching and Excavation: Perform trenching and excavation to prepare work areas, ensuring proper depth and alignment.
  • Material Handling: Handle pipes, materials, and equipment, positioning them accurately for installation.
  • Quality Control: Ensure excavation work meets project standards, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with the pipe crew, foreman, and other team members to coordinate activities and meet project goals.
  • Communication: Maintain clear communication with team members and supervisors, reporting progress and issues.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and report any issues promptly.
  • Documentation: Keep accurate records, including work logs and inspection reports.
