Job summary

BURNCO Rock Products Inc. in Colorado is hiring an Equipment Operator for our aggregates team in Greeley. You will lead daily mining activities, operate excavators, dozers, loaders, and perform routine equipment maintenance to keep operations running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of heavy equipment experience, works safely, can handle 12-hour shifts and occasional weekend work, and collaborates with team members to meet production goals. Travel to sites may be required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience operating heavy equipment (excavators, dozers, blades, loaders).
• Background in aggregate/mining is a strong asset.
• Experience with power tools and safety devices.
• Ability to work in small teams with a self-motivated attitude.
• Basic mechanical and math skills for minor repairs.

Responsibilities

• Lead mining team to meet plant goals.
• Safely load aggregate materials onto haul trucks.
• Perform dirt moving and stripping as needed.
• Inspect, fuel, grease, and refuel equipment.
• Complete minor maintenance and report safety or mechanical issues.
• Use hand tools and operate equipment for daily needs.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Collaborate with team and cross-train as needed.
• Adhere to MSHA and company safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
