Job summary

Bell Timber is seeking a Mobile Equipment Operator in Lewiston, ID to safely handle utility poles and lumber materials in a busy outdoor yard. You will operate front-end loaders and ensure loads are secure, contributing to a clean, organized site.

The role runs from 7am to 3:30pm with some overtime. Pay is $23–$26 per hour, based on experience. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with 1 year of related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of related experience preferred.
• Prior experience in the lumber industry is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures.
• Clear communication with coworkers, supervisors, and drivers.
• Proficiency with heavy machinery and safe handling techniques.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment to load and unload materials from trucks, trams, and railcars.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment safety and reliability.
• Follow work orders and load poles with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness, fueling, and report issues.
• Communicate clearly with yard staff, drivers, and supervisors.
• Monitor load balance and secure materials to prevent damage.
• Adhere to safety standards and wear PPE.
• Assist with general yard duties as needed.
