Job summary

Bell Lumber & Pole Company in Broken Bow, OK is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to safely move poles and materials on site. You will operate loaders and cranes, conduct inspections, and help maintain a clean yard on a full-time schedule. This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, familiarity with safety procedures, and the ability to work nights (Sunday-Thursday, 10 PM–6 AM) with overtime as needed; base pay $22.50/hr plus $1 shift differential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One-year technical certificate or 3–6 months related experience preferred.
• Prior heavy equipment operation and maintenance experience strongly desired.
• Clear communication with coworkers, supervisors, and drivers.
• Ability to follow technical procedures and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment to load and unload materials from trucks, trams, and railcars.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment safety.
• Load poles with accuracy and monitor loads for balance.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and report issues.
• Follow Bell safety standards and OSHA guidelines.
• Communicate with yard staff, drivers, and supervisors.
• Assist with general yard duties as needed.
