Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC in Wilkesboro, NC seeks an Equipment Operator to drive and operate heavy equipment to remove branches and tree material from electrical lines. CDL preferred; must have a valid driver's license.

You will transport gear, work outdoors in various conditions, and follow safety procedures to protect crews and the public. This full-time, non-exempt role comes with weekly pay, benefits, and on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Familiar with electrical hazards.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates heavy equipment such as bulldozers, backhoes, skid steers, excavators, loaders, dump trucks, mowers and stump grinders.
• Transport equipment to and from multi-state job locations.
• Gathers brush and feeds to wood chipper; uses chainsaw to cut brush, logs and stumps.
• Maintains equipment in neat, clean, and mechanical order.
• Works around hazardous equipment and follows safety procedures.
