Rumpke Waste and Recycling is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to safely run heavy machinery and support landfill and site development projects. The role requires at least 3 years of heavy equipment experience and the ability to pass tests for each machine.

You will perform inspections, routine maintenance, and operate equipment for site preparation, earth moving, and snow removal while maintaining professionalism with customers and team members. Equal opportunity employer.

Formación

• Minimum of 3 years experience operating heavy equipment such as excavator, backhoe, dozer, and off-road truck or similar experience preferred.
• Must pass a written and operational test to be certified to operate each piece of heavy equipment.
• Hazardous waste management training must be completed within six months of employment or assignment to such duties, with an annual review of initial training.

Responsabilidades

• Operate and safely operate heavy equipment including bulldozers, graders, excavators, backhoes, front end loaders, wheel loaders, off-road dump trucks, and other equipment as required.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete necessary documentation.
• Perform routine maintenance such as lubrication, fueling, and cleaning of equipment.
• Execute site preparation, earth moving, landscaping, snow removal, and related tasks.
• Monitor equipment for proper operation and downtime, and communicate with customers and coworkers.
• Maintain safe handling of waste and clean equipment body, cab, and wheels.
• Assist with on-site roll-off work and yard tractor operations as needed.
