I. Job Summary

Operate a wide variety of heavy equipment vehicles that construct landfills, open cells that are ready for trash fill, close cells, perform site maintenance, site closures, and/or mining.

II. Essential Duties And Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned and are not limited to:

• Operate heavy equipment in compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance; maintain accurate records.
• Move and position raw materials and finished components using material moving equipment.
• Follow standard operating procedures for operating and maintaining vehicles.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

III. Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no supervisory duties.

IV. Qualifications

Education and Experience: None required; at least one (1) year of previous experience preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements: None required.

Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities: None required.

V. Work Environment

• Use motor coordination with finger dexterity most of the workday.
• Exert physical effort handling objects less than 30 pounds occasionally.
• Exposure to physical risks (cuts, burns, chemicals) rarely.
• Exposure to dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes most of the workday.
• Work setting: shop or field.
