Job summary

Fletcher Development LLC is hiring an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator and Laborer to work across Fairfield and Westchester counties on luxury residential projects. The role combines skilled equipment operation with hands-on labor to keep job sites on schedule and well-maintained.

The ideal candidate will have experience operating excavators and backhoes, plus a proven track record as a laborer in construction. CDL Class A and CT DOT familiarity are a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience operating excavators, skid steers, lulls, and backhoes.
• Experience as a laborer in a construction setting.
• Ability to maintain, service, and perform light maintenance on equipment.
• Strong attention to detail in inspections, tests, and documentation.
• Proficiency using relevant tools.
• Able to perform the physical demands of the role - lifting, climbing, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently with a positive attitude.
• Must pass drug testing, motor vehicle license check, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators, skid steers, lulls, backhoes, and other heavy equipment for site work including digging, grading, trenching, and backfilling.
• Safely operate trucks to transport materials, debris, and equipment to and from job sites.
• Contribute as a laborer to support crews and keep projects on schedule.
• Maintain and service equipment and machinery, and perform light maintenance as needed.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report issues promptly.
• Plan, coordinate, and help execute project tasks alongside the on-site team.
• Work safely and respectfully on active, high-end residential properties, with care for the client's home and surroundings.
• Maintain accurate inspection, test, and equipment documentation.
