Job summary

Greenwood County is seeking a team player to operate heavy equipment for road construction and maintenance tasks. The role involves grading, paving, drainage work, and related activities, using backhoes, loaders, bulldozers, graders, and other machinery.

The position offers a four-day workweek (Mon-Thu, 10-hour shifts), with a CDL required. A salary range of $42,467.92 to $63,701.87 plus a $2,250 CDL retention stipend (pro-rated) is provided, along with a comprehensive benefits package from

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED equivalent.
• Two years of heavy equipment operation experience or related field.
• Valid Class A SC Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Successful completion of heavy equipment skill set assessment.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as backhoe, loader, bulldozer, grader.
• Safely load, transport and maneuver equipment to job sites.
• Assist with road construction tasks and maintenance per work orders.
• Perform inspections and report maintenance needs.
