Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan seeks a Support Equipment Operator I - Shared Services to operate heavy equipment at the Tyrone mining complex in Grant County, NM. This role supports production, performs pre-shift inspections, and may mentor other operators.

You will handle equipment like haul trucks, dozers, excavators, graders and loaders in a 24/7 environment. We require at least six months of mobile equipment experience, completion of required competencies, and a safety-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Six months of mobile equipment operating experience.
• Must demonstrate aptitude and pass required safety assessment.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment in production support at a skilled level.
• Assist with training and mentoring of other operators.
• Understand hazards and procedures including LOTOTO and shutdowns.
• Perform pre-shift inspections and basic maintenance tasks.
• Communicate via dispatch or two-way radio; support road/berm work as needed.
