Job summary

WM in Waco, TX, is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator I for a full-time, on-site role. The position offers a starting hourly wage of $22 and stable hours Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays, at our waste disposal site.

You will operate heavy equipment, perform inspections and basic maintenance, and ensure safety procedures are followed. Candidates must be 18+, legally eligible to work in the U.S., and pass pre-employment screenings. This role supports growth and benefits at WM.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience operating heavy equipment.
• Be over 18 years of age.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without accommodations.
• Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.

Responsibilities

• Operates heavy equipment in compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Conducts routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance; keeps records.
• Moves and positions raw materials and finished components with material moving equipment.
• Follows standard operating procedures for operating and maintaining vehicle.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
