Job summary

Gerdau is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator I in Minot, ND to support yard operations with hands-on crane operation, scrap processing, and equipment maintenance. You will load/unload trucks and railcars, prepare scrap to spec, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes teamwork, continuous improvement, and alignment with Gerdau’s core values. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, with opportunities for skill development and tuition support.

Heavy Equipment Operator | Gerdau

Safety-driven operator with hands-on experience running mobile cranes, magnet cranes, and shears to process and move scrap materials efficiently. I support daily yard operations by loading and unloading trucks and railcars, preparing scrap to spec, and maintaining equipment through inspections and preventive maintenance. Known for strong teamwork, problem-solving, and a commitment to Gerdau’s safety, environmental, and core values.
