Gerdau North America is seeking a Mobile Equipment Operator in Charlottesville to manage scrap operations using heavy machinery such as hydraulic grapples and loaders. You will unload, weigh, and feed scrap into processing equipment, and maintain safe, efficient workflow.

This position is eligible for a $1,500 Sign-On Bonus. The bonus will be paid in two installments: $750 after 90 days of continuous employment$750 after 6 months of continuous employment. To be eligible for each payment, the employee must be actively employed and in good standing on the applicable payout date. Applicable taxes and withholdings will be deducted from each payment.
Operates heavy mobile equipment specific to scrap operations area to include a mobile crane with a hydraulic grapple or front end loader to process, handle, and weigh scrap material. Unload scrap material from incoming sources and load scrap from existing piles onto transport or non-ferrous processing equipment.
1-3 years of mobile equipment experience is preferred.
