Job summary

Brandt Excavating in Martell, NE is seeking a qualified Heavy Equipment Operator to support safe, efficient progress on our excavation and site development projects. You will operate a variety of heavy equipment including graders, tractors, backhoes, loaders, dump trucks, and skid steers to aid site preparation and earthwork.

The role requires a minimum of one year of experience operating heavy equipment, a strong emphasis on safety, and the ability to perform routine maintenance and basic

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience operating heavy equipment in excavation, construction, or related fields.
• Demonstrated ability to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively.
• Knowledge of light and heavy equipment operation, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
• Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to the job.
• Ability to read, understand and follow safety procedures and site instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operates graders and tractors for leveling and material loading.
• Operates backhoes and front-end loaders for excavation and material handling.
• Operates skid steer loaders to transport and place materials.
• Performs site preparation and related tasks with various equipment.
• Conducts routine inspections, cleaning, and basic maintenance on equipment.
• Promotes safe operation and maintenance practices.
• Assists in training or guiding other team members as needed.
• Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
