Job summary

Barnhart is seeking a Forklift Operator to move oversized and high-value loads across diverse job sites. You will operate forklifts, gantry cranes, and hydraulic trailers, assembling configurations per project requirements.

Candidates bring a CDL Class A, at least one year of heavy equipment experience, and a safety-first mindset. You’ll travel frequently and collaborate with foremen, riggers, and mechanics.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license required with no restrictions.
• Minimum one year operating heavy equipment or forklifts.
• Must maintain safety-oriented work habits and PPE compliance.
• Willingness to travel and work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, gantry cranes, and hydraulic platform trailers.
• Assemble and configure trailer setups per project needs.
• Transport oversized loads safely across various job sites.
• Perform pre- and post-shift inspections of equipment.
• Conduct basic maintenance and troubleshooting to reduce downtime.
• Verify load securement and ensure transport within capacities.
• Communicate with foremen, rigging crews, and mechanics during operations.
• Participate in safety meetings and uphold safety culture.
• Support equipment maintenance and operational readiness.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in equipment use.
