Job summary

Barnhart Crane & Rigging is seeking a Goldhofer Operator to operate specialized hydraulic platform trailers for transporting oversized and high-value loads across diverse job sites. You will assemble and configure trailers, conduct regular inspections, and coordinate with foremen and crews to ensure safe, efficient project execution.

The role requires a CDL Class A license, a strong safety mindset, and at least one year of heavy equipment experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate Goldhofer hydraulic platform trailers and other specialized heavy transport equipment.
• Assemble, configure, and disassemble trailer configurations based on project requirements.
• Transport oversized and high-value loads safely and efficiently across a variety of job sites.
• Conduct daily and monthly inspections to ensure equipment remains operational and compliant.
• Perform preventative maintenance and basic troubleshooting on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic systems.
• Work closely with foremen, drivers, rigging crews, and project teams during transport operations.
• Maintain constant communication throughout transport activities to ensure safe and successful project execution.

What You Bring

Required:

• CDL Class A license


• Strong commitment to safe equipment operation


• At least one year of experience operating heavy equipment or similar machinery


• Strong communication and teamwork skills.


• Mechanical aptitude with ability to inspect and maintain equipment


• Flexibility and willingness to travel frequently

Preferred:

• Experience with heavy haul, specialized transportation, or hydraulic platform trailers.


• Working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic systems.


• Ability to read and interpret schematics and manufacturer specifications.
