Job summary

Barnhart-Crane- in Memphis is seeking a Goldhofer Operator to operate specialized hydraulic platform trailers, assemble configurations, and move oversized and high‑value loads across diverse sites. You will perform inspections and basic maintenance while collaborating with foremen and rigging crews to ensure safe, on‑time project execution.

Qualifications

• Strong commitment to safe equipment operation.
• At least one year of experience operating heavy equipment or similar machinery.
• CDL Class A license, or ability to obtain.
• Ability to read schematics or manufacturer specs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate Goldhofer hydraulic platform trailers and other heavy transport equipment.
• Assemble, configure, and disassemble trailer configurations based on project requirements.
• Transport oversized and high-value loads safely and efficiently across various job sites.
• Conduct daily and monthly inspections to ensure equipment is operative and compliant.
• Perform preventative maintenance and basic troubleshooting on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic systems.
• Coordinate with foremen, drivers, rigging crews, and project teams during transport operations.
• Maintain clear communication throughout transport activities to ensure safe project execution.

• Operate Goldhofer hydraulic platform trailers and other specialized heavy transport equipment.
• Assemble, configure, and disassemble trailer configurations based on project requirements.

• Conduct daily and monthly inspections to ensure equipment remains operational and compliant.
• Perform preventative maintenance and basic troubleshooting on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic systems.
• Work closely with foremen, drivers, rigging crews, and project teams during transport operations.
• Maintain constant communication throughout transport activities to ensure safe and successful project execution.

What You Bring

Required:

• Strong commitment to safe equipment operation
• At least one year of experience operating heavy equipment or similar machinery
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Mechanical aptitude with ability to inspect and maintain equipment
• Flexibility and willingness to travel frequently
• CDL Class A license, or ability to obtain

Preferred:

• Experience with heavy haul, specialized transportation, or hydraulic platform trailers.
• Working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and manufacturer specifications.
